Michael Tilson Thomas’s presence at the 2016 Verbier Festival yielded three phenomenal performances. Paying tribute to the revered American conductor, this album opens with one of his own compositions: Street Song for brass quintet. This is followed by John Cage’s The Seasons and, finally, a sublime account of the finale from Mahler’s Third Symphony.
