This Steinway C piano was selected by Elmer Bernstein (while composing the score “My Left Foot”) from the Steinway factory in Hamburg. Rumors spread throughout the industry, and soon the instrument became known as an exceptionally sounding piano. Currently, many artists will record on Windmill Lane specifically to use this piano.
Artists who played this piano: Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Van Morrison, R.E.M., Ben Folds, The Rolling Stones and Lady Gaga.
A special script tracks the resonance of each string and adjusts the sound of the notes accordingly, improving realism and optimizing the use of the processor. The sampled resonance of the pedals can be adjusted to your liking.
