Description
Learn to sing/paly Raag Bhoopali is a course that will teach students about Raag Bhoopali, one of the very fundamental and prominent raagas of Hindustani Classical Music. The Course features Basics of Raag Bhoopali, follwed by Bandish in Teen Taal. Then the students will be introduced to the Nuances of Khayal Gayaki through swarvistaar and taans. The course further features Swarmalika, tarana and a Drut Laya Bandish in Teen taal . The recording has been done using techniques to maintain the authenticity of Raag Bhoopali by adjusting the Shrutis of Rishabh, Gandhar and Dhaivat. That means the notes mainly; major 2nd(Re), major 3rd (Ga) and 6th (Dha) are pitched slightly lower ( Lower Shrutis of these Notes have been used) than the normal equal temperamental scale. This is done intentionally to preserve the purity and Raga Bhava of this particular Raga. This course takes the student from basic knowledge of raag Bhoopali to the intricacies of Khayal Gayaki and the depths of Indian Classical Music. Though the medium of teaching is through the voice, instrumental players can easily pick up due to the structure of the lessons. This is the closest one can get to Learning Indian music from an actual Guru as in offline classes.
